i'm so friggin' jealous

i want to be induced on feb. 17th!!! olivia is the luckiest girl in the world. those words would be music to my ears. "induction"...please, let me hear them too.
over the weekend we completed project noel...all but him being here. our living room has baby things in it...the room is done...the carseats just need to be put in cars, but other than that we're ready. every time there is a big jolt in the night from him, i wonder if my water has broken. i really, really, really want some sign of labor! i'm so uncomfortable and getting more irritable by the day. i have tried willing myself to snap out of it, but it's not working. the only answer will be noel getting here! we really can't wait. what an exciting (and a bit nerve wracking) time! :)

almost there

we got the room finished over the weekend! i'm so thrilled with how it turned out. we also need to install car seat bases and pack a hospital bag, but i think i've got a little bit of time on you, o. had a small scare the other night thinking i might be in labor because i was having horrible back pain. i waited it out because it was in between my shoulder blades, and not in my lower back. turned out it was pluracy, which can be caused by any changes in your chest or lungs, and considering that noel was kicking me in the lungs that day & night, it makes sense. here are some pics of the room:

yay!

good appointment today! my blood pressure was the same, down to 88 diastolic...and I DID NOT GAIN ANYTHING!!! i was thinking that there was NO WAY it was right, but i wasn't going to complain! she said my size was perfect...i even told her that everyone's 'concerned' saying that i don't look big enough. she told me not to worry about it and that she'd let me know if there was any reason for concern. i don't have to go back for 2 weeks! SWEET!

you know what's weird? i was just thinking about march 22 today for some reason as the day he might be born. i have NO idea why either! i'm thinking "hell no" though...that would put me over 3 weeks past my due date...yikes...i would be one crabby lady.

a few pics

finally!

when almost everyone was gone, steph made us practice diapering and dressing babies. i showed elliott how to do the diaper part.

i know this picture is a little dark, but i thought it was so sweet...mommy olivia & baby #1, ethan.
of course, my dad would find humor in the butt paste, even at 67.

first time aunt & almost 3rd time grandma!

ethan & dad!

nick & stephanie (bro in law & sis) and me!

aunt katie, favorite cousin sara, and mom

one piece of the haul!

steph, kaitlyn, connor & kelsey (sister's fam).
there are so many more, but i thought this was enough for the time being!!!

oops

there are pictures to come later today...i promise.

i can tell that noel's got arms and legs now, as they NEVER stop moving...and yes, we've decided that due to the warm reception of the name, that we'll share it with the world!

my back hurts, my legs & ankles look like they belong to someone else (big ankles/legs have never been a problem for me), and i'm tired. less than 7 weeks, right???? ok, that's not TOO long.

better!

just a quick update that my diastolic number was down 2 points to 88! woo-hoo! i gained 6 lbs. in 9 days, so she said i am retaining a ton of water, so just keep drinking a lot of it. she wasn't concerned about that...especially after i told her i had been in the car for 20 hrs. in 4 days.

i have a lot of shower pics to post too, but i have to make this quick, so tomorrow i will do that.

o, i need to know what mia wants! she needs a present! :)

freaking weird dreams

lately, i have been having very bizarre dreams about the baby. last night was the strangest. it's really scattered, so i will try to explain as best as possible.
first, the baby had to be taken out of me and 'implanted' in someone else. the person that would continue the pregnancy is someone i've never met...she's a sister of a friend of a friend, but we've become pals through blogger. anyway, she lives in california. i'm not sure how we completed the "transplant", but next thing i know, she's posting pictures of my baby on her blog before she calls to let us know he's been born! i saw the pictures on her blog and was thinking, "um, that's our baby, i'm pretty sure." so i called her, asked if he'd indeed been born, which he had, so we went to pick him up. i'm not sure if we had to go to cali or not to get the baby, but we went to their house, which had a beautiful marble pool. it took a while for her to bring the baby out to us. he looked very different from the pictures, considering that in the pics, he was human, and in reality he was a chimpanzee. i thought to myself, "well, that kind of sucks, but he IS really cute." so we took our chimpanzee straight to brookside, a shopping center in kansas city (um, not exactly close to the bay area). i had him in a shopping cart and he was drinking milk out of a can (maybe it was evaporated milk?). i was thinking, "i'm not sure if you're supposed to have a 1 day old baby out and about," but he seemed pretty content, being a chimpanzee and all.

i am pretty sure this rivals allison's dream about the flaming jesus, but you be the judge.
